Growing up in Caro, MI. Pastor James was saved under the ministry of Richard Flanders at Juniata Baptist Church in Vassar, MI. He obeyed the Lord in believers' baptism shortly after. He felt the call to preach and attended Hyles-Anderson College from 2008-2012. He graduated with a bachelor's in Youth Ministry. Pastor James served in a few ministries before his call to Freedom Baptist Church as the Youth Pastor in November 2015.
In May 2018, Pastor James was called to be the Senior Pastor of Freedom Baptist Church. In 2020, Pastor James enrolled in CCBC where he plans to graduate with an associate's degree in Psychology. At CCBC, Pastor James serves in the Student Life office and the Student Government Association.
Pastor Clidence preaches through the Word of God chapter by chapter and verse by verse. He does not dilute the Scriptures based on the current political climate and does not compromise the truths of the Word of God based on current culture. The Word of God stands true despite the test of time.
